IndyCar Grand Prix yields solid results for Sundaramoorthy

Yuven Sundaramoorthy continues to show great form in his first USF2000 season, as he brought home a P12 and a P13 (out of 21 entries) in a doubleheader weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All three series on the Road to Indy ladder took part in INDYCAR Grand Prix weekend, which utilizes the permanent road course inside the main oval.

"Hoping for some better results, but gained some spots in each race, so that’s all I can ask for," said Sundaramoorthy. "I’ll work hard to improve my qualifying and then I think I could be in the mix each race.”

For races 1 and 2, Sundaramoorthy qualified P14 and P18 respectively in an extremely tight and competitive field. Advancing for P12 and P13 finishes, he was able to make good passes and keep up with the pack during the races.

Fellow Pabst Racing driver Hunter McElrea had a pair of podiums and the team is looking racey in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship. Staying in Indy, the team moves quickly to an oval test at Lucas Oil Raceway on Monday, May 13, as they prepare for the Cooper Tires Freedom 75 on May 24.
