Tripleheader on IMS Road Course

SEPTEMBER 4, 2020, INDIANAPOLIS, IN - With the postponement of events earlier this season due to COVID-19, USF2000 Series teams and drivers have been getting used to double- and triple header weekends. Yuven Sundaramoorthy and his team Pabst Racing finished up a trio of races on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Due to a jam-packed weekend schedule, there isn’t much practice time. With this, things can get a little cumbersome at the start of the race, as aggressive drivers jockey for position. Sundaramoorthy found himself hindered by fellow competitors at early in each of the three races, so his results of 8th, 9th and 15th don’t reflect his race-pace and potential for podium finishes. However, learnings and seat time are always welcome, especially at the famed race track. Sundaramoorthy remains 8th in the Championship standings.

The next race is still to be confirmed, but could be back at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as early ask next weekend (Sept 11-13). The local and state governments are working with the venue and IndyCar (the sanctioning body for USF2000) and will announce the status of the event in the coming days.
